Farm animals, livestock or domesticated animals are generally raised in different regions of the world in order to help in the agriculture and production of food, fiber and for the help in labor work. In essence, the farm animals or livestock are raised by human beings for the purpose of subsistence, hunting and in general with the motive of making profit. Domestic Sheep, Cow, Camel, Donkey, Horse, Mule, Pig, Reindeer, Buffalo, Yak, Dogs, Goats, and many other animals are used extensively as farm animals throughout the world.
Historically, the living and breeding conditions of farm animals have been dictated by the human beings and the modern man has also developed a specialized science called as Animal Husbandry to change, and control the lifestyle of farm animals. Most of the farm animals are not suitable the living conditions in wild habitats and that is why, the farm animals are found along with human population all over the world.
